Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing Announces Primary Sponsors who are Racing to Honor Veterans at Talladega Superspeedway
Kansas City, KS – V.G. Pride Group, an oilfield consulting and assessment company from Hammond, Louisiana and Oohrah! Hydration Drink will be co-primary sponsors on the Jennifer Jo Cobb Racing (JJCR) #10 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) Chevrolet at this week’s Fred’s 250 Powered by Coca-Cola at Talladega Superspeedway. The companies have joined Cobb in unique endeavors to honor our Nation’s military members.
Cobb, who formed Driven2Honor, a 501(c)3 corporation with a mission to honor female military members is also a spokesperson for Wreaths Across America. Cobb announced a campaign in July for her fans to sponsor a remembrance wreath to be laid on the gravesite of a fallen Veteran at Arlington National Cemetery this December. Anyone donating through the fundraiser website www.UTA.org/Driven2Honor will also see his or her name placed on a wreath sticker on Cobb’s race trucks. The wreaths will be on every JJCR race truck for the remainder of the season.
V.G. Pride Group answered the call with a corporate donation of 100 wreaths and is encouraging other businesses to do the same. “We are thrilled to continue our support of Jennifer and the Oohrah! Hydration #10 Silverado,” said Keith Ferrell, V.G. Pride Group’s Lead Consultant. “We enjoy being associated with a driver that is so deeply involved with recognition to our military, present and past. Jennifer’s “Never Give Up” stance & guiding her team through adversities shows what a true leader she is.”
Oohrah! Hydration Drink, which announced a 3-race primary sponsorship with Cobb beginning at New Hampshire, is also a champion for giving to military causes. Each Oohrah! label tells a story with Thunder Cloud, Fightin’ Green and Chargin’ Blue honoring those who fight from air, land and sea, as an example. Cobb represents Oohrah!’s Rockin’ It Pink flavor honoring Lady Warriors and breast cancer survivors.
This week at Talladega, Driven2Honor will honor two female military members and Cobb will present each honoree with a special gift, a custom leather jacket on behalf of Oohrah! CEO, Lisa Bremmer. “Oohrah! is not only a healthier brand of hydration, it is a brand that serves a mission, to give back… one bottle at a time. We are looking forward to helping Jennifer provide our Lady Warriors with a VIP experience behind the scenes at Talladega this weekend,” said Bremmer.
Fans who wish to support Oohrah! in its mission to give back can receive special military pricing and free shipping on the purchase of Oohrah! Hydration Drinks and Oohrah! Purified Water at www.OohrahHydration.com.
Cobb comes into the 18th NCWTS race of the season just one point out of 15th in overall driver points and she has a career high finish of 6th place in the 2011 NCWTS race at Daytona. The team will be led by veteran Crew Chief, Steve Kuykendall.
