The Chicago Sky rolled over the Atlanta Dream on Saturday night 85-68. The win clinches the WNBA Top Seed in the East for Chicago. It's the first time that the Sky will make a post season appearance in the franchise's eight year history.
The Sky was led in scoring by Sylvia Fowles with 18 points. She was followed by Elena Delle Donne who added 15 points and Tamera Young who scored 12 points. The Sky remains one game behind the West-leading Minnesota Lynx for the best record in the WNBA.
Coach Pokey Chatman thinks that the road to clinching the top seed in the East actually started back in the early days of training camp. According to Chatman the team built confidence early.
"I had a good feeling from training camp," coach Chatman said. "And it was nice to see them continue the good stuff from that game. When the players start getting that confidence and momentum, it takes you to different heights."
