History is right around the corner for one NASCAR driver this race weekend in Kansas. This Friday night’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Toyota Tundra 250 at the Kansas Speedway will mark the 96th race start for Kansas City native, Jennifer Jo Cobb. The team owner and driver is celebrating the coming of her 100th start in the series with her fans sharing #JJC100 on various social media outlets. Behind Cobb in the Camping world Truck Series is Kelly Sutton with 54 starts. In the Xfinity series, formally Nationwide and Busch series, driver Patty Moise racked up 133 starts during her career. In the Sprint Cup Series Danica Patrick has 90 series starts heading into Kansas. Legendary, and groundbreaking female driver, Janet Guthrie had 33 starts. Cobb will join an elite group of drivers when she reaches the 100 start mark.
“The hardest thing to do in this sport as an independent team is to have longevity," Cobb said heading into the Kansas race weekend. "Celebrating our 100th start at Texas Motor Speedway next month is an amazing feeling for our team."
