NASCAR and ARCA Racing fans have their eyes set on the upcoming races! The race car haulers, drivers, and teams are heading to Indy for a packed weekend of racing! That includes Thomas Praytor, driver of the DK-Lock Ford as he readies for the running of the Scott Get Geared Up 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis on Friday night.
Praytor, also known as "Moose," tested a freshly rebuilt DK-LOK Ford on Tuesday at Mobile International Speedway. According to the driver the test was a perfect way to shake out any issues with the car heading into the race weekend. It always helps when you can do it on your home track.
"Mobile is the perfect place for us to shake down a new car. There is no place like your home track to make sure the car is responding like you want it to," said Praytor. "We had a good test, we answered a lot of questions about our DK-LOK Ford and all the work that's been done to it."
Praytor heads to Indy in search of a solid run to continue building on the season that started at Daytona International Speedway. He thinks the testing may have knocked out a few bugs.
"We found a few gremlins that would have been a real problem at Indy," Praytor said. "We'll get those fixed up before we head up to Indianapolis."
